Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CODGuard (the "app"), provided by Nakson Group ("we", "us", "our") through the Shopify App Store. By installing or using CODGuard, you ("merchant", "you") agree to these Terms.

1. What CODGuard does

CODGuard is a Shopify app that lets a merchant apply a Cash on Delivery (COD) fee via a linked shipping rate, hide or restrict COD at checkout using merchant-configured rules, and view analytics on COD orders, fee revenue, and return-to-origin (RTO) activity. CODGuard operates through Shopify's own Payment Customization and Delivery Customization Functions and Shopify's Admin API.

2. Eligibility

You must have an active Shopify account and the authority to install apps on the store you connect CODGuard to. CODGuard is intended for use by Shopify merchants, not by their end-customers.

3. Subscription, free trial, and billing

• CODGuard is offered on paid subscription plans, each including a free trial period shown at checkout inside the Shopify App Store listing.
• Billing is handled entirely through Shopify's own subscription billing (Shopify App Pricing) and appears on your regular Shopify invoice — we do not collect or store payment card details ourselves.
• Unless you cancel or uninstall before the trial ends, billing continues automatically at the plan and interval (monthly or yearly) you selected.
• Development and Partner sandbox stores are not charged.

4. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the fees, rates, and rules you configure in CODGuard, and for how they apply to your customers at checkout.
• You are responsible for complying with any laws or payment regulations that apply to Cash on Delivery, surcharging, or fee disclosure in the regions you sell to.
• You will not use CODGuard to discriminate unlawfully against customers, or to configure rules intended to deceive customers about pricing or availability.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app beyond what applicable law permits; resell, sublicense, or white-label the app without our written permission; interfere with or overload the app's infrastructure; or use the app in a way that violates Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy or API License and Terms of Use.

6. Data and privacy

Our collection and use of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using CODGuard you consent to that policy.

7. Intellectual property

CODGuard, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Nakson Group. These Terms do not grant you any ownership in the app — only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it on your Shopify store while your subscription is active.

8. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep CODGuard available and working as described, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may add, change, or remove features over time. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to let active merchants know in advance.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

CODGuard is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any specific reduction in RTO, fraud, or cancellations from using the app — outcomes depend on your own configuration and market conditions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nakson Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost revenue or lost profits, arising from your use of or inability to use CODGuard. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using CODGuard at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the app, or fail to pay applicable fees. On uninstall, data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, the "Last updated" date below will change accordingly, and continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Nakson Group is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local law requires otherwise.
