Built for stores where Cash on Delivery isn't an edge case.
In a lot of markets, COD isn't a fallback payment option — it's the majority of orders. Most Shopify tooling is still built prepaid-first. CODGuard isn't.
COD converts. It also has a cost most stores can't see.
CODGuard is built by Nakson Group, a small team focused on commerce tooling for merchants operating in cash-on-delivery-heavy markets. We kept running into the same story: store owners could see their COD orders were converting, but had no clean way to price the risk, block the orders that were never going to arrive, or find out which pin codes and customers were quietly costing them money.
So we built one app that does all three, sitting directly inside Shopify's own checkout infrastructure instead of fighting it.
The principles behind how CODGuard is built.
Checkout-native by default
We build on Shopify's own Payment and Delivery Customization Functions instead of injecting scripts into checkout — so what we ship keeps working when Shopify's checkout changes.
Numbers over guesswork
Every rule you build should be judged by what it actually did to your RTO rate and your fee revenue — not by how it feels. That's why the dashboard exists.
Fast to set up, easy to leave alone
COD rules that need a developer every time they change don't get maintained. CODGuard is built so a store owner can run it end to end.
Merchant-first support
If something in your setup looks wrong, we'd rather hear about it directly than have you guess. Every plan gets the same support inbox.
